You may freely add comments to tracks where you think it may help other people - for example, about the route condition or enjoyment.
Initially, your comment will only attach to one track unit; but of course such comments often apply to the length of a route, which may be made up of several track sections. After you've added a comment, if you view it in detail you will find you are able to 'manage link to tracks' - meaning you can link your comment to other tracks as well as the original one (or un-link if necessary).
You're not able to go back and edit the text of your comment later ; but you ARE able to set it 'offline' (invisible to users, effectively deleting it) and could then enter an updated or replacement comment if you wish.
Most comments will only ever be visible to logged-in users of the system. A very few important comments may be 'publicised' by TrailWise administrators - for example, something like "Please avoid during lambing season".
This 'publishing' will both highlight the comment to our users, and also to the casual visitors who normally see no comments.
These published comments would usually be entered by our own data administrators, but if you feel your own comment ought to be publicised please use the 'Contact' form to let us know.
