You can give anyone a TrailWise UID reference (like ST1234-01) and they can use TrailWise themselves to find out where and what you're referring to. No registering or login is needed just to get basic information in this way, simply put the reference in the Find! box.
You can construct a URL that links directly to a track's detail pages in TrailWise. This is useful when you are sharing lane information with other people. It can be used by email, on a web page or with instant messaging, etc.
To link to a track use the following format:
http://www.trailwise.org.uk/do_quickfind.php?uid=XXNNNN-YY
Replace XXNNNN-YY with the UID of the track you want to link to. For more information on UIDs see the 'UID' FAQ.
This will create a link to the basic detail page for that track. Be aware that if the user isn't logged in at the time (or doesn't have a TrailWise account) they may not see the same level of detail that you do - for example no comments would be visible.
